True or False
Large passenger planes can fly backward in the air, just like a helicopter.
False! An airplane always needs to move forward for the air to flow over its wings and create the lift that keeps it up. If the plane tried to fly backward, it would lose that lift and fall. A helicopter, however, can change the angle of its spinning blades to fly in all directions, including backward and sideways.
