The ocean is blue because it reflects the sky's color.
Actually, it's the water itself that makes the ocean look blue! Water absorbs all other colors in sunlight (like red and yellow) much more easily than blue. The blue light bounces around in the water and out to our eyes, making us see the ocean as blue. The sky can reflect in the water too, but that's not the main reason for the ocean's own blue color.
